Starting date: September/October 2026
As a Content Creator (32 hours per week), you'll be behind the camera, creating the photo and video content that brings our clients' brands to life on social media. From quick social content to full campaign shoots, you translate a client briefing into content that actually stops the scroll. You're just as comfortable shooting on location as translating a first idea into a final concept. You manage the social media presence of around three client brands at the same time, from strategy and planning to content production, community management and reporting.
What you'll actually be doing:
Social media management of around three client brands at the same time
Shooting photo and video content for social media across our client portfolio
Filming and editing short-form video (Reels, TikToks) as well as longer campaign content
Planning and executing shoots on location
Editing footage into polished, platform-ready content
Translating client and team briefings into a concrete shot list and creative social media approach
Delivering final content correctly and on time to clients or teammates
Joining client calls for briefings, feedback rounds, and final delivery
Presenting and pitching your own creative concepts directly to clients with confidence
Spotting new trends early, and translating what's relevant into your shots and edits
What we're looking for:
You're confident, positive and enjoy taking on responsibility, bringing energy into the room, to clients, to the team, and to every pitch. You know how to manage client relationships, ask the right questions and spot problems before they escalate. You can work independently, but also actively involve your colleagues when a project benefits from collaboration.
At least one to two years of experience in social media management, community management or content creation
Experience managing social media accounts for brands or clients
Strong, hands-on skills in photography and videography, including filming and editing short-form video (Reels, TikToks) as well as longer campaign content, without needing a full production team, plus editing in Premiere Pro and After Effects
Photography skills for product, lifestyle and social content
A sharp eye for what makes content stop the scroll, you understand platform-native content, not just "good" content
Experience with content planning tools and business platforms from Meta and TikTok
A solid understanding of brand identity, graphic design and visual consistency
Experience with tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva or Figma
A genuinely active interest in social media, online culture and emerging trends, you notice new platforms and formats before they hit the mainstream
The confidence to take part in client meetings, workshops and new business pitches, and to present and pitch your own creative concepts directly to clients
Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple shoots and deadlines at once
Experience with brand strategy, visual identity projects or Framer development is a strong plus, with these skills you can support our team on branding projects, websites and digital experiences
Being fluent in Dutch and English is a big plus, and knowledge of German is also a plus, as Hashtag Junkies has an office in Berlin
What we offer:
32 hours/week, based at our Rotterdam office
Room to work from home 1 day/week after your trial period
Direct mentorship from senior team members, with real growth path toward Senior Social Manager, Account Lead, Head of Social or Head of Content
Holiday pay, bonuses, pension contribution, and team outings
